I believe it is a sacred gift to be entrusted to provide psychological care for another human being and I count it a genuine honor and privilege to be a part of your healing process.

 

I believe that true recovery and healing must take into account the entirety of a human being; body, mind and spirit. I am a compassionate Christian therapist, dedicated to providing a respectful, non-judgmental environment to all people from all walks of life in order to create real and lasting opportunities for positive life change. I focus on creating a collaborative relationship with my clients, empowering you to achieve your goals. I serve individuals, couples and families with compassionate care, understanding, and quality service during times of difficulty, challenge and change.

 

I hold a Bachelor's degree of Psychology from Florida International University and a Master’s degree specializing in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida as well as a National Board Certified Counselor. Some of the evidenced based therapies I practice are person-centered, cognitive-behavioral and emotionally focused therapy for couples. I specialize in both trauma-focused interventions and biblical-based Christian counseling.

In addition to my professional training, I draw from a lifetime of experience. I have been happily married for over 35 years, I am a mother of three married children, and a grandmother. I served alongside my husband in pastoral ministry for over 30 years, leading a large Women's Ministry program in South Florida. I’ve been a teacher and caregiver my entire life and am experienced with a wide range of issues related to both women and men, including sexual abuse, identity and adjustment issues, relational challenges, spiritual identity, anxiety and mood disorders.
